El Boy Die has been paving a new and unique path for psychedelic folk music for the past few years and his debut full-length album “Black Hawk Ladies & Tambourins” casts a shadowy cloud of arcane beauty. A native of France, he’s embarked on an ambitious career that’s taken him throughout Europe and North America. Through his vagabond attitude and DIY approach, he’s been able to shape a distinctive and cinematic sound palette that draws from medieval ambience, tribal chanting and ethereal instrumentation that deviates from the modern framework of folk. The album features guest members of Herman Dune, Zombie Zombie & Valleys and hits the streets in the spring of 2010 on CD, LP and Digital formats.

Valleys critically acclaimed debut album "Sometimes Water Kills People" has arrived in vinyl format. Limited to only 500 copies, get yours while they last! All LP's come with a free Mp3 download card.

Buy it here!

"...They utilize any instruments (and collaborators) at their disposal to create haunting, dreamlike mood music [...] it is Perk's whispery, goosebump inducing coo that is especially beguiling and soothing throughout, as demonstrated on the Mazzy Star-ish "Slow Path," and comforting, hypnotic tracks such as "Tan Lines" and "Silent Woods."
- The Big Takeover

“…somewhere between early '70s Island Records folk, and the Saddle Creek scene. Think hushed vocals, layer upon layer of acoustic guitar, with some droney fuzz in the background. Really nice stuff.”
– Brooklyn Vegan

“…specializing in haunting folk incantations of a decidely lo-fi and sometimes psychedelic bent. Imagine a melodically-rich melding of Mazzy Star and A Silver Mount Zion and you're halfway there.”
– Textura
